IM Dental Policies

It is the responsibility of the patient to inform the dental office of any changes in their medical status or personal details.

Our policy requires payment in full for all services rendered at the time of visit, including any balance not paid by an insurer. If account is not paid within 30 days of the date of service and no financial arrangements have been made, you will be responsible for legal fees, collection agency fees and/or any other expenses incurred in collecting your account.

Our policy: re-scheduling or cancellation of an appointment must be made with a minimum of 24 hours notice to avoid incurring a $30 fee (please note: Monday appointments need to be addressed no later than Friday). Failure to attend an appointment will incur a $30 fee.

At IM Dental we aim to provide you with excellence in dental care. Whilst every effort is made to keep to appointment time, on some occasions extra time may be required with a patient. We seek your understanding should we fall behind schedule. Please rest assured we will spend whatever time is necessary for your appointment.

If you are eligible for the Child Dental Benefits Scheme provided by MEDICARE then please give RECEPTION your Medicare Card & Paperwork before your appointment.

Please inform your dentist of any medicines prescribed by your doctor.

In securing occupational health and safety, IM Dental promises to pursue best practice in Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) and to fulfil its statutory duties with regard to OH&S at all times.

Please note that this surgery is committed to protecting your privacy. We are required by law to protect personal and confidential information relating to your health and other personal details. We will comply with all legislation relating to confidentiality and privacy. The information collected on your acquaintance form will be part of your dental records. It will be stored, maintained and used by this surgery according to the current Privacy Legislation that safeguards its confidentiality.
